The VLEX-HT3HUTH40 is an 18Gbps HDBaseT 3.0 extender that carries HDMI or USB-C video, USB 2.0, RS-232, and bidirectional IR over a single Cat6A/7 cable, eliminating the separate video, control, and USB runs that longer installs otherwise require. The transmitter accepts either an HDMI source or a USB-C source with DP-Alt Mode video and up to 60 watts of charging, and switches between the two automatically based on signal detection or manually as needed.

Uncompressed 4K@60Hz (4:4:4 8-bit) video extends up to 40 meters, with 4K@30Hz reaching 70 meters over the same Cat6A/7 run. The receiver outputs HDMI along with two USB 2.0 device ports, so USB peripherals at the display end stay connected without a separate USB extender. Both transmitter and receiver support 3.5mm analog audio de-embedding, EDID management, and bidirectional RS-232 and IR pass-through for room control systems.

Does the VLEX-HT3HUTH40 support both HDMI and USB-C sources at the same time?
No. The transmitter accepts one active source at a time and switches between the HDMI and USB-C inputs automatically based on signal or 5V detection, or manually if preferred. It doesn't combine or mix both inputs simultaneously.

How much can the USB-C input charge a connected laptop?
