Product Description
The VLEX-HT3HUTH100G is an 18Gbps HDBaseT 3.0 extender designed for installations that need faster USB throughput and network pass-through alongside long-distance HDMI/USB-C video. It carries uncompressed 4K2K@60Hz (YUV 4:4:4) video, USB 3.2 Gen 1 data, 1G Ethernet, RS-232, and bidirectional IR up to 328ft/100m over a single Cat6A/7 cable in HDBT Standard Mode, stepping down to 1080p 8-bit for runs up to 492ft/150m in HDBT Long Reach Mode.
The transmitter's USB-C host port is the standout feature: it carries DP-Alt Mode A/V, USB 3.2 Gen 1 data at up to 5Gbps, 1G Ethernet, and 100 watts of charging over one cable, alongside a dedicated USB-B 3.2 host and additional USB-A device ports. The receiver outputs HDMI along with four USB 2.0 device ports and passes 1G Ethernet through to the display side, useful for network-connected peripherals or a display's own smart features.
Both transmitter and receiver de-embed 3.5mm analog audio, support advanced EDID management, and pass RS-232 (with API and CEC-based device power control) and bidirectional IR. HDCP 2.2 and DisplayPort 1.4a compliance round out compatibility with modern USB-C laptops and docks.

Ideal Applications
Corporate Boardrooms & Conference Rooms
Modern USB-C docking stations often need network access alongside video and power; the 1G LAN pass-through and 100W charging let a single Cat6A/7 run replace a laptop's dock entirely at the presenter's seat.
Higher Education Classrooms & Lecture Capture
Lecture capture systems that record over the network benefit from 1G Ethernet pass-through to the receiver side, keeping capture appliances on the same network segment as the display without a separate data run.
Healthcare & Telemedicine Suites
Telemedicine carts using USB 3.2 peripherals like documentation scanners or high-resolution cameras get the bandwidth those devices need, while RS-232/CEC control lets staff power displays on and off from a central controller.
Command Centers & Control Rooms
API-driven RS-232 control fits automated control room workflows, and 1G Ethernet pass-through supports networked display management or monitoring appliances at the wall.
Broadcast & Production Facilities
USB 3.2 Gen 1 throughput at the transmitter supports higher-bandwidth USB capture or storage devices at the source end, while HDR and Dolby Vision pass-through keep preview monitors accurate.
Hospitality & Digital Signage
Networked signage players benefit from 1G Ethernet pass-through to the display side, consolidating video, USB, network, and power onto one cable run through walls or ceilings.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the "1G LAN" in this model's name refer to?
The VLEX-HT3HUTH100G passes a 1 Gigabit Ethernet connection through the HDBaseT link, from a LAN port at the transmitter to a matching LAN port at the receiver, so a network drop at the source side is also available at the display side.
How is this different from the VLEX-HT3HUTH100U3?
Both extend HDMI/USB-C video 100m over Cat6A/7, but the HT3HUTH100G steps up USB from 2.0 to USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) at the transmitter, adds 1G Ethernet pass-through, and increases USB-C charging from 60W to 100W. It draws more power and uses a larger enclosure to support the added throughput.
Can I run a network cable to the display side using this extender instead of a separate LAN drop?
Yes, that's exactly what the LAN pass-through is for. The receiver's RJ45 LAN port carries the same 1G Ethernet connection present at the transmitter's LAN port.
Does the receiver support USB 3.2 speeds?
No. The receiver's USB ports run at USB 2.0 (350Mbps). USB 3.2 Gen 1 speeds are only available at the transmitter's host and device ports.
What's the maximum charging power for a connected laptop?
Up to 100 watts via the transmitter's USB-C host port, using DP-Alt Mode power delivery.
Can RS-232 control external devices like a display's power?
Yes. RS-232 pass-through supports API control, and RS-232/CEC signaling can turn external devices on or off, which is useful for centrally controlled power sequencing.
