Professional Dante Signal Adapters
VigilLink's Dante® signal adapters provide compact, purpose-built conversion between Dante networked audio and analog or digital audio sources. These small-format devices solve specific connectivity challenges in Dante installations, offering dedicated input adapters (sending to network), output adapters (receiving from network), and bidirectional I/O adapters for flexible system integration. From USB-C computer audio and Bluetooth wireless streaming to professional XLR connections and consumer line-level sources, our signal adapters deliver targeted solutions without the complexity of larger multi-channel bridges.
Signal adapters excel in applications requiring point-to-point conversion where full audio bridges would be oversized and cost-ineffective. Whether you need to add a single wireless input to a conference room, integrate a computer's USB audio into your Dante network, or provide analog outputs for a specific zone, VigilLink signal adapters offer right-sized solutions with PoE+ power and professional audio quality in compact, easy-to-install packages.
Why Choose VigilLink Dante Signal Adapters
Purpose-Built Designs: Each model addresses specific connectivity requirements rather than providing unused channels, optimizing cost and installation simplicity
Ultra-Compact Form Factors: Small enclosures mount discreetly behind equipment racks, under conference tables, or in equipment closets where space is constrained
PoE+ Powered: All models support Power over Ethernet, requiring only network connectivity without dedicated power circuits or wall adapters
Bidirectional Models Available: USB-C and select models support both input and output, functioning as Dante sources or destinations based on configuration
Professional Audio Quality: Broadcast-grade specifications with high dynamic range and low noise ensure transparent audio regardless of compact size
Plug-and-Play Integration: Automatic Dante device discovery and simple configuration through Dante Controller eliminates complex setup procedures
Choosing the Right Signal Adapter
Input Adapters (Send to Network):
Line Input Adapter (VLDT-LA2DT): Converts stereo analog line-level sources (mixers, media players, consumer audio equipment) to Dante network audio. Accepts RCA or 3.5mm connections, ideal for background music sources, legacy equipment integration, or consumer electronics that need network connectivity.
Bluetooth Input Adapter (VLDT-BT2DT): Enables wireless audio streaming from smartphones, tablets, and laptops directly to Dante networks. Perfect for conference rooms, huddle spaces, and collaboration areas where users need simple wireless connectivity without wall plates or visible equipment.
XLR Input Adapter (VLDT-XL2DT): Accepts balanced XLR microphone or line-level signals for professional audio applications. Supports phantom power for condenser microphones, making it suitable for podium mics, wireless receiver integration, or professional equipment requiring balanced connections.
Output Adapters (Receive from Network):
Line Output Adapter (VLDT-DT2LA): Converts Dante network audio to analog stereo line-level output for connection to amplifiers, powered speakers, or consumer audio equipment. Provides volume-adjustable outputs for zone audio, monitoring applications, or analog equipment integration.
XLR Output Adapter (VLDT-DT2XL): Delivers balanced XLR analog outputs from Dante network sources. Ideal for feeding mixing consoles, broadcast equipment, or professional audio devices requiring balanced connections with maximum noise immunity.
Bi-directional Adapter:
USB-C I/O Adapter (VLDT-UC22DT): Connects computers to Dante networks as both input and output, appearing as a standard USB audio interface to the computer. Enables software-based audio applications, videoconferencing platforms, and content creation tools to send and receive Dante network audio. Essential for unified communications integration, podcast production, and software-based audio processing.
Ideal Applications
Unified Communications & Video Conferencing
Integrate room-based video conferencing systems and personal computers into Dante audio infrastructure using USB-C adapters. Conference participants hear far-end audio through the room's Dante-connected sound system while near-end audio from room microphones reaches the codec through the same Dante network. This eliminates analog cabling between conferencing equipment and audio systems, simplifying installations and reducing cable clutter in conference tables and equipment racks.
Wireless Audio Input for Collaboration Spaces
Add Bluetooth connectivity to huddle rooms and informal meeting areas without installing wall plates or running dedicated audio cables. Users stream presentation audio, training videos, and background music from personal devices through compact Bluetooth adapters hidden in ceiling spaces or behind displays. The Dante connection carries audio to zone amplifiers, recording systems, and distributed speaker arrays throughout the facility.
Legacy Equipment Integration
Connect existing analog audio sources to modern Dante networks without replacing functional equipment. Line input adapters interface CD players, media servers, satellite radio receivers, and other consumer audio sources with professional networked audio systems. This extends equipment lifecycle while building network infrastructure for future upgrades, protecting existing investments while gaining Dante's routing flexibility.
Distributed Audio Monitoring
Place line output adapters in technical areas, broadcast facilities, and production spaces where staff need to monitor specific Dante channels. Engineers listen to program feeds, technical directors monitor multiple sources, and broadcast operators audition content before air—all receiving selected Dante channels through simple analog connections to headphones, powered monitors, or existing listening systems.
Remote Microphone Positions
Position XLR input adapters at distant microphone locations in large venues, campuses, and multi-building facilities. A single network cable provides both PoE power and Dante audio transport, eliminating long analog microphone runs that would require dedicated conduit, introduce noise, and complicate signal distribution. Ideal for outdoor venues, satellite buildings, and installations where traditional audio infrastructure would be prohibitively expensive.
