Product Description

The VLPT-42MVDKH is a 4x2 seamless presentation switch that brings four sources — two USB-C and two HDMI — onto a single display at up to 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 8-bit, with HDCP 2.3 compliance. Beyond one-source-at-a-time seamless switching, it runs a fast multiview engine with Auto, Single, PIP, PBP, Triple, Quad, and Custom layouts, so a room can show several inputs on one screen at once.

Each USB-C input is a single-cable connection for a laptop: DisplayPort Alt Mode A/V up to 4K@60Hz 4:4:4, USB 3.2 Gen 1 data at 5Gbps, 1Gbps Ethernet for network access, and up to 60W of power to charge the source device. Local USB 3.2 KVM switching lets a shared keyboard and mouse control the connected computers, and USB 2.0 extends over HDBaseT 3.0 so cameras or peripherals at the remote receiver can join a software video conference.

The switch has two HDMI outputs plus an HDBaseT 3.0 output mirrored with HDMI OUT2. Over a single Cat6A cable, HDBaseT 3.0 carries uncompressed 4K60 4:4:4 to 40m (131ft) and 4K30/1080p to 70m (230ft), and supplies PoE from the transmitter to the included receiver (TX_PSE / RX_PD). Audio is fully flexible: embed and de-embed, an internal DSP for mixing, matrixing, and independent EQ, volume, and delay, plus Dante® 2x2 audio in and out to connect the room to an existing Dante® audio system.

Control is available from front-panel buttons, the IR remote, RS-232, or TCP/IP, and a built-in web server / GUI handles A/V control, automatic display control, and input EDID management. With multiview, single-cable USB-C connectivity, networked audio, and an included HDBaseT receiver, the VLPT-42MVDKH is built for software-based video conference rooms.

Software-Based Video Conference Rooms
Purpose-built for Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet rooms where the room PC and guest laptops share one display. Connect the room camera and speakerphone at the remote HDBaseT receiver and route them back over USB 2.0 to whichever computer is driving the call, while USB-C laptops join with a single cable that also charges the device. Multiview lets the room show a presenter's slides alongside the far-end video on one screen.

Corporate Boardrooms and Huddle Spaces
Ideal for meeting rooms that mix a fixed PC with bring-your-own-device laptops. Two USB-C and two HDMI inputs cover the common source set, seamless switching keeps the display clean during handoffs, and local USB KVM lets a single keyboard and mouse drive multiple connected computers. The included HDBaseT receiver places the display up to 70m away without a separate extender purchase.

Higher Education and Training Rooms
Suited to classrooms and lab spaces where an instructor station and student laptops feed one projector or display. PIP and PBP layouts allow an instructor's content and a reference source to be shown together, and 1Gbps Ethernet over USB-C gives connected laptops network access through the same cable. AV-over-Dante® Meeting Spaces
Designed for rooms whose audio is managed on a Dante® network. The built-in DSP handles mixing, matrixing, and per-channel EQ, volume, and delay, while Dante® 2x2 in/out routes presentation and conference audio directly to networked DSPs, amplifiers, or processors without a separate audio interface. Analog line in and out remain available for local microphones and speakers.

Multi-Purpose and Divisible Rooms
Effective in flexible spaces that reconfigure for presentation, collaboration, and conferencing. How far can the VLPT-42MVDKH extend video over HDBaseT?
Over a single Cat6A cable, the HDBaseT 3.0 output carries uncompressed 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 up to 40m (131ft) and 4K@30Hz or 1080p up to 70m (230ft). The HDBaseT output is mirrored with HDMI OUT2, so a local monitor and a remote display can show the same content at the same time. The matching receiver is included in the box.

What can each USB-C input do at the same time?

How does KVM work on this switch?

USB 2.0 also extends over HDBaseT 3.0, so cameras or USB peripherals connected at the remote receiver can be used by the room's computer for a software video conference.

Does the switch power the receiver, or does the receiver need its own supply?
The transmitter supplies PoE to the included HDBaseT receiver over the same Cat6A cable (TX_PSE / RX_PD), so no separate power supply is required at the display end.

How is the VLPT-42MVDKH controlled?
Control is available from front-panel buttons, the IR remote, RS-232, and TCP/IP. A built-in web server / GUI handles A/V control, automatic display control, and input EDID management, and CEC/RS-232 can switch connected displays and devices on or off.
